Damage Control for the Eyes

We hear about the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun, but today, we are also exposed to excessive blue light from our computers, smart phones, and other electronic devices. Research suggests that frequent and long-term exposure to the blue light spectrum, particularly at night, may increase free radical damage to cells of the retina that are critical for healthy vision and circadian rhythms1

AREDS2(Age - Related Eye Disease Study 2):

Physician’s Choice® Eye Health formula contains six key ingredients from the AREDS2 Study conducted by the National Eye Institute: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Copper, and Zinc, as well as Lutein and Zeaxanthin from award-winning Lutemax® 2020. For additional protection, we have enhanced our formula with Folate, Vitamin B12, Bilberry, Grape Seed and Bioperine® Black Pepper Extract, providing a complete and synergistic eye health support formula for preserving healthy vision, especially as you age2-5

AREDS2 Study Based Ingredients

Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Copper, and Lutein and Zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020: In the Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2 (AREDS2), these vitamins, minerals, and bioactive elements demonstrated the ability to support and maintain eye health2,3,4

Other Ingredients

Lutemax® 2020:  A globally recognized and highly researched ingredient, Lutemax 2020 is a natural marigold flower extract that provides all three macular carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin) that are known to be concentrated in the eye’s photoreceptor cells4

Bilberry and Grape Seed Extracts:  Bilberry contains potent antioxidants including flavonoids and anthocyanins that aid in supporting blood flow to the retina. Bilberry may ease eye strain and help improve night vision by enhancing the production of eye pigmentation to support dark adaptation6,7

Rich in polyphenols, Grape Seed Extract provides free radical protection for the retina and works in synergy with Vitamins C and E and the carotenoids Lutein and Zeaxanthin8,9

Bioperine Black Pepper Extract:  We include Black Pepper Extract in many of our supplements for its ability to augment the absorption of other nutrients for supplements that are as effective as possible10

As a dietary supplement, take two capsules once daily, preferably with a meal, or as directed by your physician.

EYE HEALTH

I take 1 twice a day, breakfast and dinner. I've had trouble since I was 15 from a bloody eye white from injury, Dr said would get worse as I aged and it did. A few years ago I had Bells Palsy and eye lid drooped badly and frozen face that side, the eye became worse, freeze left but eye very sensitive plus I have light and darkness sensitivity. The droop closes the eye most of the time, I use drops that help a short time but I get this very sticky flow from that eye so started taking these which help with vision and some help with droop and I did a subscription which gave me a monthly discounted price so happy with that. They come every month long before I run out so no worries there, always available. I will continue to take these as long as they benefit, no aftertaste or problem. I don't expect miracles and they do help open the eye when it's not irritated but so many issues have caused the problems and no cure I know of but these do help with vision and sometimes the lid opens as it should which did not happen until I began taking these so satisfied and will continue, I'm now 77 years old so sight loss is a normal process as we age. The sticky residue leaves like sandy drops in my lashes and sometimes glues the eye shut, the drops help remove this issue but it is a daily process. At this point any help is good and I get some help from these vitamins, my issues are just greater than anything can rid such sensitive issues, not the problem with these eye vitamins and didn't…
